I grew up with 6 brothers & sisters - middle child - My Dad was a Truck Driver and My Mom worked at Kraft Foods. My parents played all the Country Classic's- Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, George Jones; My favorite Live Band to see was Pork & The Havana Ducks the House Band @ Prairie Lands always loved Live Music. I became a Photographer to process grief 2008 when I lost my Mother -My proudest accomplishment is having raised my son and being a Mother myself - photo by Charlie Mitsdorfer

I’ve been doing photography since I was a teenager. I’ve progressed to digital photography but still do black and white large format photography with view cameras and films and paper. I came to Champaign-Urbana in 1972 to study electrical engineering at the University of Illinois. New friends took me out to various places to see live local music. I’ve been a fan of it ever since. I love local music and I love taking photos of bands and am very happy and proud to be a part of CU Bands and Fans!
